Jasmine Aked-Slack

Finance Manager

Jaz took time out after her degree to see the world and like so many others, she soon fell in love with Verbier! Her move to the mountains was driven by a passion for skiing in the winter months and hiking in the summer months.

Jaz has hosted in some of Verbier’s most luxurious chalets, however in 2018 she made the move to Ski Verbier Exclusive to join our Management team. Jaz’s role focuses on supporting our CFO with all our resort finances and working closely alongside the wider resort team such as our Chalet Managers, Chefs and Drivers. Jaz keeps everything running smoothly day to day in our resort office and she is our go-to for anything and everything ‘miscellaneous’ – we would all be lost without her!

On her days off, you can find Jaz on the slopes, either skiing with some of the Ski Verbier Exclusive team or ski touring with her loyal dog Orson, and always ending the day with a glass of rosé.

Favourite Chalet?
Chalet Nyumba – The chalet has the most incredible view of Verbier and its surrounding mountains along with having a warm and homely feel.

Favourite place to ski in the 4 valleys?
On a blue bird day it has to be the full 4 Valleys ski from Verbier to Thyon, it never disappoints! If the weather is slightly less favourable one of my favourite things to do is take my dog, Orson, ski touring – this can be from Medran to Cabin Mont Fort, Carrefour to Croix de Coeur or a slightly more adventurous tour from the Grand St Bernard tunnel to the border of Italy. Once at the Italian border you are welcomed by the Monks from the Monastery for a warming cup of tea!

Favourite mountain restaurant?
Le Carrefour is perfect for both skiers and non skiers alike as it can be reached by bus or by skiing. A must try is the famous Rosti Creblet along with a cold glass of Rose!

Favourite restaurant?
La Nonna – new to Verbier last winter and located on Place Central – this restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine, unlike other Italian restaurants they do not pride themselves on pizzas, but rather their homemade pastas, antipasti platters and signature cocktails. The restaurant has a large sun terrace and a more intimate indoor dining space; whether you are dining inside or outside, it gives the feel of being in the Mediterranean but with the breath taking views of the Swiss Alps.

Favourite après ski hangout?
A new favourite for me is Lumi bar – they offer an extensive gin menu along with an incredible Bloody Mary cocktail made by my favourite bar man ‘G’, and also an extensive Tapas menu, perfect for lunch, apres or evening meal! Most evenings the have live music or DJ’s which makes it the perfect apres ski hang out!

Favourite non skiing activity (summer or winter)?
ebiking from Spring-Autumn has become one of my favourite activities as the extent of the trails and routes to explore are endless! Our local ski rental stores all become bike rental stores in the summer months, making renting an e bike easy and the perfect activity to do with friends and family that choose to visit Verbier!

Favourite Season?
It is difficult to choose between Winter and Summer as both season have so much to offer in Verbier, but I love town being busy and full of people who are all here to enjoy the sports and activities they love whether that be Skiing in the winter or Mountain Biking in the summer months.

My Top Tip!
One of my personal highlights from last season was heading up to Ruinette for sunset, followed by an impressive full moon ski back down to town! Not for everyone, but definitely one to add or tick off your Verbier bucket list!
