Stand-up Paddle Boarding (SUP)

Stand Up Paddle boarding (aka SUP) has become the fastest growing watersport in the world, including the mountain lakes of Verbier. It can be a fantastic full body core workout, or a leisurely way to explore, they provide a whole new way to experience the water in the outdoors.
We can arrange Paddle board hire and lessons beautiful in Champex-Lac, a short drive from Verbier.

Yoga

Yoga

Milly, once upon a time, was a host in Chalet Rock and fell in love with Verbier. Milly came to yoga, like many, with a fitness approach in mind, but felt immediately struck by the transformative qualities that the practice had to offer, both on and off the mat. She have completed 550hrs of trainings in different styles, including Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Yin. Her teaching is creative and uplifting, and her classes will help you heal, cleanse and detoxify the mind and body.

If you’re after a more leisurely way of checking out the bike trails without the physical exertion required to get you up hills, the latest range of E Bikes are the perfect solution for you. Verbier comes alive with eBikes in August for the e-bike festival, 4 days dedicated to e-biking! With 5 different activities on offer: E-bike test, Rando Gourmande, Discovery Trails, E-Tour du Val de Bagnes or Bosch E-MTB Challenge.

Mountain Biking

The excellent mountain lift system facilitates exhaustive and exhilarating high level mountain trail riding for beginners, intermediates and advanced Mountain bikers. Just like the piste map for skiers, there is a trail map for mountain bikers and hikers which denotes the various trails and the degree of difficulty/skills needed.

Road Cycling

Cycling in Verbier and in the Alps in general, is much more demanding than your favourite local route back home. The roads around Verbier may be the setting for some of the most gruelling sections of the Tour de France but they can also be tackled by enthusiasts as well as professionals. We can arrange anything from a technical clinic to improve your performance or a day, or multi day route so you are free to ride and enjoy the experience in the stunning Valais region of Switzerland.

Tandem Parapente Flight

Fly High in the sky with Verbier Summits with a Tandem paragliding experience. It's the ultimate thrill, guests have said "It's like being Peter Pan. You can't help but think happy thoughts as you soar over the mountains."
Your pilots will be twin brothers Mike and Stu, who have been in the flying industry for 20 years with over 14,000 flying hours!

Walks and Hikes

The rolling hills, valleys and wild flower meadows in Verbier provide the perfect summer alpine backdrop. We can suggest a range of walks and hikes to suit all comfort levels. Many of these walks can incorporate a delicious lunch at one of the great mountain restaurants!

Horse Riding

The Verbier stables are open throughout the summer from 8am to 6pm everyday and offer various activities like dressage or jumping lessons. You can learn how to ride in the beautiful mountain setting and they also offer pony rides for children.
In August, Verbier hosts an International Showjumping competition, which sees competitors from 20 different countries compete.

Canyoning

Canyoning in the Valais is home to some of Switzerland’s and Europe’s most picturesque canyons.
Experience these natural water adventure parks composed of rock formations, narrow gorges and glacial basins. Levels can be adapted for families, groups, thrill seekers, experienced outdoor lovers or beginners.

Mountaineering

Skiing down a mountain in the winter is one thrill, but being able to hike, or climb up it the following summer really is a mission accomplished!
Verbier offers a complete choice of Summer activities, from 1/2 day walks right through to conquering the Matterhorn, in our neighbouring Zermatt! For something more challenging, perhaps the 5 day Haute Route from Verbier to Zermatt ?

Summer Camps

Altitude Verbier and Les Elfes Verbier run international summer camps where children develop new skills and confidence in a safe environment. Daily outdoor adventures and optional French or English lessons
will encourage campers to build friendships across different nationalities. Your children will learn important life skills lasting well beyond their summer of fun.

Hydro Speeding

A short distance away in Sion along the Rhone river, experience the most adrenalin pumping white water sport, Hydro Speeding!
Get ready to go down the rapids for a roller coaster ride. Equipped with fins and a foam board, navigate your way through rapids and foam accompanied by your guide

Ariel Walkway

A brand new aerial walkway opened in Verbier at the start of summer 2018. Each of its three courses offers a different level of difficulty, which means guaranteed laughter and thrills for the whole family. The courses feature a free-fall jump, ziplines and a whole host of different challenges. The green course is the easiest one, is suitable for people of all levels and consists of eight challenges and a zipline. The blue course is of medium difficulty and consists of nine challenges, a zipline and several jumps. The red course is difficult and features eleven challenges and seven ziplines. It offers participants the chance to try a “quick jump” of 9 metres with a ripcord (jump begins with a 3.5-metre free fall).

Trotinettes

Enjoy a descent an all-terrain cross-country scooter, two routes can be taken in complete safety for all ages. The route is from Ruinettes to Verbier and scooters can be rented from the lift station at Les Ruinettes.

Golf

Verbier has a choice of two Golf Courses, Les Esserts, a 18-hole course measuring 4875m. With each hole providing stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges, Combin, Rogneux and Mont-Blanc. The second course, Moulins, first appeared in Verbier in 1969, it's right in the centre of town and is a perfect pitch and putt course. If you're prepared to make the trip to Crans-sur-Sierre, you can experience one of the best courses in the Alps.

Tennis

With a state of the art Smashcourt surface, we can arrange lessons and tennis camps.
The experienced and knowledgeable coaches will design tennis camp programmes to combine both pyhisical and mental training to develop skills and improve play

Via Ferrata

Via Ferrata in the Mauvoisin Gorge consists of two 250 and 350 meter-long sections as well as several bridges or two routes in Les Gentianes. Two brand-new routes – one aerial, the other less demanding – that take you to an altitude of over 3,000 metres surrounded by a fantastic alpine panorama!
To climb the Via Ferrata, you’ll need a helmet, harness and lanyards.

Climbing

Whether it's indoor climbing or outdoor rock climbing Verbier has a vast choice of varied routes for beginners and experts. The indoor climbing wall located in the Verbier Sports Centre is 600m2 and has over 60 climbing routes for adults and children, there is also an open air climbing wall near the library to use. For Rock Climbing, like most of the Alps Verbier offers well equipped and challenging routes for those with the correct equipment.
