Verbier après ski scene needs little introduction, rightly so, it is one the most famous resorts in the world.

A vast choice of après ski spots, starting in the early afternoon at Le Mouton Noir, before opting to either take a skiers left to Bar 1936 or skiers right down the Le Rouge piste, where ski-in sun drenched terraces await to enjoy a chilled glass of rosé during golden hour. The fun continues into the night with a choice of cool and snazzy cocktail bars and clubs. Whether you’re looking for Après chic or Après Ski, Verbier has something for everyone.

Our Head of UK Guest Relations, Dougie, shares with us his top 5 Après Ski recommendations and what you can expect as a Ski Verbier Exclusive guest….

1. Le Farinet Après

One of the best known Après Ski venues in the Alps, Le Farinet Après is just off Place Centrale and features a retractable roof. With a live music and different house bands every week of the season and some returning year after year, this is the place to be in Verbier once the lifts are closed – some of our guests even book their week based on when a certain band is playing! Watch out for the roof opening when the party heats up!

2. Le Rouge

Another venue that builds on the lunch time buzz, Le Rouge is a great destination to head for at the end of the ‘alternate’ home run to Brunet, just above the main town centre. You can ski in for lunch or at the end of the ski day and enjoy the views from the sun terrace while partying in style – there’s always a DJ there playing and if you’re looking for a more ‘Ibiza at altitude’ vibe then Le Rouge is the place to be!

3. Le Mouton Noir

The largest terrace bar in Verbier belongs to Le Mouton Noir, on the piste at the top of the Médran lift with panoramic views towards Mont Blanc in the South. A popular lunch destination for both skiers and non-skiers due to its easy lift access (both to and from) and great views, the terrace evolves as the afternoon goes on changing from a dining area into full party mode Après Ski venue with DJ sets and Instagram views.

4. Bar 1936

The last stop on the way back to Verbier at the end of your day skiing, Bar 1936 is at the last fork in the pistes. If you’re not quite ready to put your skis or snowboard away for the day yet ‘1936’ is a place to enjoy the sun going behind the trees, with live music and views across the snow-covered golf course, over Verbier and to the West.

5. Place Blanche

Perfect to look forward to at the ‘home run’ finish line, Place Blanche, ‘the white square’ just outside Mountain Air and the W Hotel. It is the ideal place to grab a quick drink while you wait for your Ski Verbier Exclusive driver if you’ve made it down the mountain a bit sooner than expected, or perhaps if someone in the group would like to do just one more lap of the Medran.

There is of course …

The much more indulgent option of in-chalet Après. In our catered chalets you can enjoy an endless amount of champagne and cocktails and sit back and relax in the hot tub with your favourite music playing through the chalet speakers. You could also treat your self to a post-ski massage to ease the aches and pains of a day on the slopes or just sit back and relax on one of our sun drenched south facing terraces.
