Here at Ski Verbier Exclusive we know that the food and drink aspect plays a big part of your holiday and it can be difficult to decide whether to go for a Catered or Self-Catered Ski Chalet, as there are many benefits to both.

Why Catered?

Our chef are handpicked for their incredible talent and impressive experience and will create a menu to cater to your needs, whether that be specific dietary requirements, different meal options for the children and adults, or perhaps a tasting menu to dazzle your tatse buds. Your chef will call ahead of your trip to confirm your menu for the week and any specific requests, so your culinary experience is completely bespoke to you. Alongside your talented in-chalet Chef, you will also have an experienced Chalet Host who will not only serve your pre-dinner cocktails and champagne, but will also recommend which wines will best compliment your dinner. If you or any of your guests have a birthday or another special occasion during your stay, then your Chef and Chalet Host will pull out all the stops to help you celebrate – whether it be an indulgent chocolate fudge birthday cake or a romantic Valentine’s meal, it will be one to remember!

With an amazing selection of restaurants available in Verbier, our Chef’s nights-off also give you the opportunity to experience the culinary delights that the town has to offer, so that you can experience some traditional Swiss-fare, or perhaps a casual meal after some lively apres-ski drinks at Le Rouge or Le Farinet.

Not only does our catered service include your evening meal on five nights of the week, but there is also the option of a hot breakfast in the mornings alongside our continental offering of fresh pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses as well as juices and smoothies made by our Chefs each morning. As if all of that wasn’t enough, our chefs also prepare a post-skiing afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes, biscuits, muffins, cookies or tarts, six days a week.

Why Self-Catered?

A catered holiday sounds pretty hard to beat, but when there are as many incredible restaurants available as there are in Verbier, it’s easy to see why a self-catered option is an excellent one.

From traditional hot fondue, to Le Shed’s famous burgers and the Michelin Starred restaurant, La Table d’Adrien, Verbier has it all. A self-catered holiday with Ski Verbier Exclusive includes all of the luxury services that our catered service includes, such as daily housekeeping and our 24 hour driving service to get you to and from the slopes, restaurants and après spots. You will also have a complimentary welcome hamper waiting for you in your chalet with a selection of local and essential items for your stay and we can also arrange for fresh pastries to be delivered for breakfast each morning so that you’re fuelled for your day on the slopes.

Our pre-arrival Concierge team will help arrange all the usual logistics including assistance and advice with restaurant bookings. They will be able to provide you with recommendations on all of the best spots for mountain lunches and in-town culinary experiences and can arrange to make all reservations for you. If you’d prefer to eat in one night, our chalets have well-equipped kitchens to use or our partners, Verbier Delivery, can arrange restaurant takeaway options via our Ski Verbier Exclusive App.

All that’s left is to decide which option to go for! Our Sales Directer, Katie, would be more than happy to further discuss the benefits or catered and self-catered holidays if you still can’t choose which is best for you. Get in touch today and plan your ski holiday!
